Sunday was a lazy day of rest with just us 4 as family!
Monday, Sept. 6th was Labor Day, public school was out so we took a 3 day weekend as well and spent family time together as this was Daddy's week home! :)
Tuesday September 7, 2010 Back to School!
Morgan:
We are working on putting words in alphabetical order, learning how that works.

| To start out I underlined the first letter of each word so she could see that is where she looks first to put words in alphabetical order. Then we went to the alphabet I had written at the top of the page and put a "dot" above each letter we were using. This made it easier for her to put he words in order to begin with, training her hand and eye to look around the page at what is next. |
Math has moved on now to learning about size recognition from smallest to biggest.

Geography is still family, school, neighborhood, community this week as there is a lot to cover.

| Morgan knew she lived in the country, where the city is, where she just went to the beach and that everyone lives in a different place. |

| Morgan understood what each person does in the community. |

| Morgan learned about the different signs that are in our community. |
Science this week is the 5 senses; we are staring with Sight.
 |
| This also came to Morgan very easily. So we decided to do all of the senses together instead of taking it one at a time, she understands what each sense and body part does. |
Health this week is Personal Hygiene, we are starting out by talking about things we do like take a bath, brush our hair and teeth, ect.
We are continuing on the same spelling words.
Reading is the same as well, until she knows the words herself.
