Wednesday September 29, 2010

Again we were very busy today learning new things!

More letter sound review.

Shape review, listening to directions, and learning about graphs.

instead of always counting pictures of items on the page.

More review.

Morgan learned how to count by 10's today!
She was so excited, she couldn't wait to call her grandparents and Uncle to
tell them what she learned new today! :)

Counting by 10's came to Morgan with ease!

This was our reading review today, she knew the "color words" by site,
so we worked on the other words like "the" and "is"....

"THE" is stumping Morgan each time... we'll keep after it!

Some of the vowels we have not worked on yet, so we left them blank for now.

Some of the pictures we couldn't figure out what they were, and they were
vowels we had not worked on so we skipped them!

The pictures she knows and has worked on before, she does with ease.

She doesn't need any help with pages like this, she breezes through them.

This was another reading page for us. She knows her "color words" by site,
but I just wanted to review them.

That "the" word is still stumping her. Repetition...
we read these pages several times through the day.. finally "the"
made sense! :)

She runs through these pages quickly.

She knew the correct word by site with ease.

We are finished with short a vowel...
moving onto short e vowel tomorrow..... which is a week early!

I couldn't be prouder of Morgan... She was sooooo excited learning how to add today and counting by 10's! I am thankful for the opportunity to be with her when she learns something new and get to see her excitement!! She is progressing very quickly and I believe after the first of the year we will already be working into some 2nd grade work! She told me she already knows that vowels are A, E, I, O, U, and sometimes Y.... I asked her where she learned that from and she told me from a long time ago on her Barbie computer.... back when she was young! :)
Makes me feel good that the majority of her learning has been here at home with me!
Her attitude and manners are much better since she stays home this year as well!
I'm proud of Morgan!!!!! :)
