Morgan worked on the 5 senses again today. A little more in depth, with seeing and hearing the physical portion of how we see and hear, I could tell it was "over her head" but it was good to establish the thought and how it works, I did not expect her at this time to remember the parts of the eye or ear. We can retouch on this when she is older.
She understands what each sense is and how we use it though with ease.
So we are done with senses and moving on!
Again another worksheet on Taste and Feel. She breezed through this.
As a "filler" while I was getting her other assignments together, I had her do a fill in the number page of 1-30. She did fine with it, just working on making the number 2 where we can read it.
We finished up on position words today, as they came to Morgan very easily, she already knew them, so this was more of a "review" than learning material. I just wanted to see how much she learned last year so we can cross it off our list. Most of this she knew way before she went to school, Sesame Street did wonders for teaching her while she was young! And all the learning toys we had when she was little.
More position papers, these I cut out the object and put glue on the back and asked her to place them on the paper as the directions told her to. She did them with ease, so it was more of a "fun" project than anything.
She is doing GREAT on putting words in alphabetical order. She is doing them with such ease. So I think next week we will step it up a notch and add some words where she has to look at the second letter of the word to put them in order.
Her penmanship is improving as we do more sheets where she has to spell out the answers.
As a review and a "filler" while I was preparing the next lesson, I had her write her alphabet on her own. We worked on the letter Yy and learning on spacing our letters out more.
As a fun activity for art, I let Morgan color the page
herself with no direction, Weston wanted to help so
they had a great time doing it together!
